Magnificent Mangoes:
Possibly the ‘King of fruit”, the Mango has a plethora of benefits. I have listed some down below but there are many more!
Cancer Prevention: The antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been researched and found to fight against colon, breast, leukemia, and prostate cancers. The compounds include the abundant enzymes, quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid, and methyl gallate.
Eyes: One cup of sliced mangoes gives 25 percent of the required adult daily value of vitamin A. This promotes good eyesight and prevents dryness.
Alkalizing the body: The tartaric acid and malic acid in the fruit help to support the body to alkalize.
Diabetes improvements: Mangoes are known to balance insulin levels in the blood and with a relatively low glycemic index (41-60) it won’t spike sugar levels.
Digestion: Mangoes have enzymes for breaking down protein plus they have fiber which helps digestion and elimination.
Immune system Boost: In Mangoes, there are 25 different kinds of carotenoids plus vitamin C and vitamin A to keep your immune system healthy.
