I love this soup. It’s got to be my favorite soup for detoxing. Great for any time of year! Super healthy, high in antioxidants, and excellent for your herbal detox program or herbal slim program. Serves 4 people Ingredients: 4 small or 2 x large onions 1 x large leek 6 cloves of garlic 1 can of chopped tomatoes 4 fresh tomatoes 100gm of tomato paste 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp Cayenne (or paprika) 1 tsp caraway seeds 2 tsp miso paste Method: Finely chop and lightly heat onions, leek and garlic in olive oil over low heat. Sweat with the turmeric, cayenne and caraway seeds for a couple of minutes. Add canned tomatoes, chopped fresh tomatoes and tomato paste. Add water to make enough soup and stir over heat until the vegetables are cooked. Just before serving – add 2 teaspoons of miso. Adding at the end of cooking preserves the nutrients in miso. Lettuce & Parsley Smoothie
This combination is great for alkalizing the body and for reducing indigestion and bloating. Rich in enzymes it will surprise you! Ingredients: Half of an Iceberg Lettuce 3 to 4 heads of Parsley 1 ring of Pineapple 1 x large Apple 1 x cup of soaked Cranberries (optional) 2 dtsp of Coconut oil 1 x BodiTune DETOX n SLIM Protein powder 1 x Kiwifruit Method: Chop lettuce into chunks and add to the Ladyship Blender. Beetroot, Celery & Chive Salad
How simple can a great salad be? Serves 2 people Ingredients: 2-3 whole beetroot ½ a head of celery a handful of fresh chives Method: Peel and steam beetroot until a little soft but still firm. Allow to cool, then chop into bite-sized wedges. Chop celery into small pieces and stir into beetroot along with finely chopped chives. Dress with fresh lemon juice or red vinaigrette. Did you know? Carrot & Mango Smoothie
Ingredients: 1 x large carrot Half a mango Half a lemon 2 x sticks of celery Cup of blueberries 2 x dstsp of coconut oil Large piece of ginger root 1 x fennel stork DETOX n SLIM Protein Powder 6 to 8 cubes of ice 200ml of water Method: Chop up celery into chunks and add to Ladyship Blender. Stewed Apple & Yogurt
This is one of the oldest breakfasts in the book but a goody! Ingredients: (per serving) 1 x apple 1 x cup of unsweetened coconut yogurt A sprinkle of cinnamon Method: Simply slice an apple with or without the skin and simmer in 1cm of water until soft. Coconut, Apple & Date Whip
Ingredients: (per serving) 1 x large apple 6 x dates 2 x dstspn soaked shredded coconut 1 cup of unsweetened yogurt Cinnamon sprinkle Method: Soak coconut in just enough water to cover it for 20 minutes. Sweet Potato, Leek and Salsa
Try this delicious warming recipe during your Herbal DETOX or Herbal SLIM program. It is filling and hearty and makes you feel very satisfied. Serves 2 people Ingredients: 1 x Medium Kumara (sweet potato) or 2 Parsnips 1 x Large Leek 1 x Large Broccoli Salsa: Coconut oil 1 x Onion 6 x large cloves of garlic 1 x Capsicum Garlic Shoots Tomato paste 250gm Cumin powder Oregano herb Paprika powder Cayenne pepper Turmeric powder Soy Sauce Apple cider vinegar Honey Method: Scrub the Sweet potato and oven bake in Jacket for 45 minutes at 180 Celsius. While the Sweet potato is baking finely slice leek and dice broccoli and place in a saucepan with only 2cm of water. You will want to simmer the saucepan for about 10 minutes and time this in with the Sweet Potato. Salsa method: On the side, dice the onion, garlic shoots, and garlic and place in a frying pan with 2 Tbsp of Coconut oil (or cold-pressed olive oil). Saute while adding the herbs to your taste. This will create a kind of curry paste. Gently blend in 1 Tbsp honey, 1 Tbsp vinegar, and 1 Tbsp soya sauce, then add the tomato paste and diced capsicum. Add a little water until you get the consistency of salsa you prefer. You are now ready to serve.
