When doing a detox it’s nice to have a little treat at the end of the day. Something that makes you feel like you’re still allowed something like a dessert snack or something sweet. Although this is a super healthy recipe containing protein, lemon flavonoids, turmeric antioxidants, and excellent fat with coconut oil, it does still give the reward of a sweet treat. You will enjoy these zesty treats. Ingredients 2 cups shredded coconut + extra 3 tbsp honey 4 tbsp coconut oil Zest and juice of 1 large lemon 1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds 30g scoop of protein powder 1 tsp Turmeric Method Chop the lemon into chunks and add to blender, followed by the coconut oil, turmeric and pre-soaked chia seeds (You can soak chia seeds in a little water for 30 minutes) then add the honey, protein powder, and coconut. Pulse the blender until the ingredients combine into a thick paste. Don’t blend until completely smooth or they won’t have any texture. Roll spoonfuls into balls into fine coconut. Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set. Perfect for: Herbal DETOX Program Herbal SLIM Program Herbal BodiTune DETOX ‘n SLIM Program

Lentil & Sweet Potato Fish Cakes
A great recipe for filling the gap when following your Ultimate Herbal Slim or Ultimate Herbal BodiTune program. By providing both fish and lentils you receive a good serving of protein while keeping the carbs to a minimum. It’s also gluten-free which helps digestion. I like to double up on the recipe and make extra for the freezer. They are great to reheat when the time is short for cooking dinner. Ingredients: 1 cup of Lentils 1 200 g can of wild-caught salmon 1 medium sized sweet potato (purple or gold) 1 white onion 6 cloves of garlic 2 Tsp of Indian curry powder 1 Tsp Turmeric Small bunch of fresh Coriander (Cilantro) 5 eggs Method: Day Before – Cover Lentils with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes then turn off the heat and allow to soak overnight. This will make your Lentils soft and a lot less gassy when eaten. The next day, bring the lentils to the boil again for five minutes and allow them to cool. Peel and grate the sweet potato and add to a large bowl. Finely chop onion, Garlic, and Coriander and add to bowl. Sprinkle with turmeric and curry powder and stir together with a fork. This will coat the sweet potato, onions, and garlic with powdered spices. Break up the Salmon with a fork and stir in the bowl. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl and add to the main bowl mixing in well. You now have your fish cake mix! A little trick I found to make great fish cakes is to use the Salmon can as a mold, just like a biscuit mold. This only works if you have a short fish can. Just press some of the fish cake mix into the can and upturn into the frying pan over your already hot oil. Cook for 10 minutes on each side to cook through and serve with vegetables of your choice. In this case, I have used steamed Broccoli and Leek along with a little Tomato, Cottage Cheese, and Avocado. I hope you enjoy this very satisfying meal! Brett’s Brain Bliss Balls
One thing that is affected by detoxing is your brain. Our brains get hooked on stimulants like sugar, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, prescription drugs and other chemical additives used in foods and drinks. Not to mention the snack habits that can be hard to break during the detox or slimming program. This recipe provides a treat or snack during your Herbal BodiTune 30 day detox or Herbal Slim program. It’s sugar-free and high in nutrition, good fats, protein, and antioxidants. Blueberries, cacao, and walnuts all have specific nutritional benefits for the brain. See below. Ingredients: 12 Dates 1 cup of walnuts 1/2 cup shredded coconut 1/3 cup coconut oil 1/3 cup raw cacao powder 2 Tablespoons of blueberries 1 Tablespoon of chia seeds 1 Tsp vanilla essence Method: Soak the dates in water for 1 hour until soft. Soak the Chia seeds in just enough water to cover them, so they thicken into a semi-solid jelly. Place the walnuts in the blender and process until a fine meal. Add everything else and process until a little pasty. Place mixture into a bowl and spoon out onto some coconut to roll into balls. Place into the fridge and allow to solidify for 1 hour before eating. Perfect for: Herbal one-month DETOX program Herbal SLIM program Herbal BodiTune DETOX n’ SLIM program Brain benefits of Blueberries The findings of one study suggest that moderate-term blueberry supplementation can confer neurocognitive benefit and establish a basis for more comprehensive human trials to study preventive potential and neuronal mechanisms. PubMed Brain benefits of Walnuts English walnuts are rich in numerous phytochemicals, including high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and offer potential benefits to brain health. Polyphenolic compounds found in walnuts not only reduce the oxidant and inflammatory load on brain cells but also improve inter-neuronal signaling. PUBMED Evidence suggests that the integration of walnuts into a healthy diet could be an effective means of prolonging health spans, slowing the processes of brain aging, and reducing the risk of chronic neurodegenerative disease. Journal of Nutrition Brain benefits of Cacao One study showed consumption of cocoa flavanol improved regional cerebral perfusion in older adults. This provided evidence for a possible acute mechanism by which cocoa flavanols are associated with benefits for cognitive performance. See more
