Here’s a quick delicious one for during your detox. It can be a great breakfast or yummy dessert. I had this a couple of times on my last 14 day cleanse. Ingredients: (per serving) 1 x large green apple (or red if you prefer) 6-8 dates A dessertspoon each of raisins, cranberries or currants Cream Cinnamon Method: Simply take one apple, core out the centre, and stuff with dates, raisins, cranberries, or any other type of dried fruit you like. You can also add some honey or allspice to flavours. Add a dessertspoon of water to the bottom of a saucepan and steam the apple until soft. Serve with cinnamon and cream. Delicious! More than 77,000 women in the United States in a Nurses Health Study, found those who consumed at least one serving per day of apples had a reduced risk of lung cancer. This recipe makes 4 generous servings. However, we understand that for some people, especially those who are not yet used to the rewards of eating whole, live vegetables a little hankering for something more comforting is normal. So… mashed potatoes, anyone? Here’s a culinary trick to try that will have you wishing you’d cooked more. It’s our version of ‘Mashed Potato’ Cauliflower. Even people who claim not to be fans of cauliflower are surprised at how much they enjoy it this way. Ingredients 1 head of cauliflower (large as possible as people really like this dish) 3 cloves garlic A few tablespoons of full-fat milk and/or plain yogurt Knob of butter Pepper and unrefined salt to taste Paprika, spring onion, or herbs to garnish Method Cut cauliflower into florets. Steam or boil with chopped garlic until tender. Drain, place in blender with the milk/yogurt mixture and the butter. Add salt and pepper, then blend until smooth. Jaffa (Orange & Chocolate) Flavored Smoothie

Eggplant & Zucchini Bake
High in protein, full of wonderful savory flavor, and very filling, this is a great recipe if you want to feed 3-4 people quickly and still maintain your DETOX or SLIM program. It can be thrown together in less than 15 minutes and bakes within the hour. This recipe feeds up to four adults with leftovers. A good-sized meal which means you can reheat for the next day’s lunch or again for dinner. Serves 3-4 Ingredients 3 x medium (or 4 small) Eggplant 3 x medium (or 5 small) Zucchinis 1 x Large Onion 8 x cloves Garlic 1 tsp Chilli powder, (or 6 fresh chopped chillies) 3 large tomatoes (or 6-8 small or 2 x 400g can of chopped tomatoes) 2 cups Plain yogurt A handful of Fresh Basil Dried or fresh thyme Butter/Coconut oil Method: Grease a medium-sized roasting dish with butter and layer with sliced Zucchinis and Eggplant. Layer thinly sliced eggplant and Zucchini sideways. Blend the fresh basil (and chili if you like it) into the chopped tomatoes and pour over the entire dish allowing the mixture to run between the eggplant and zucchini slices. Finally, lightly whisk the plain yogurt and chopped thyme and pour it over the top. You can add 1-2 eggs, and a little cottage cheese to the yoghurt whip if you on the Herbal SLIM, BodiTune, or doing a 1-month gentle cleanse. Melon Salad
This salad is light and refreshing – you will love this! When Melons are in season it is great to mix them up and this recipe does just that. A little bit of “Healthy”, undamaged, saturated fat from the cream adds to a sense of fullness and helps to balance your blood sugars. This salad contains plenty of fluid, fiber, enzymes and antioxidants too. Plus the cinnamon is a wonderful circulatory herb, blood sugar stabilizer and is proven to lower cholesterol. It is great for lunch or dinner. Serves 2 people Ingredients: 3 types of melon – Honeydew, Rockmelon, Watermelon Green grapes Raisins Fresh whipped cream (or plain yogurt if you prefer) Cinnamon Method: Cut melons into bite-sized wedges. (1/4 honeydew, 1/4 rock and a generous slice of watermelon feeds 4 people a large helping each) Place all melon ingredients into a serving bowl. Add grapes. Mix gently. Serve with a dollop of cream or yogurt. Drop raisins over the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon powder Amazing Watermelon: Scientists have taken notice of watermelon’s high lycopene levels. Approximately 20 milligrams per 2-cup serving. This is of the highest levels found in fresh produce.
